Chrissie Swan paid an emotional farewell to her Nova breakfast radio program on Friday after her Chrissie, Sam & Browny was cancelled.

The radio host, 49, shared a series of sweet photos with her co-hosts Sam Pang and Jonathan Brown and colleagues to her Instagram – but avoided breaking her sobriety when the bottles were popped.

Smiling and wrapping her arms around her colleagues,  Chrissie sipped on a soft drink while the others cracked open Crown lager beers at ‘knock off drinks’.

Chrissie, Sam and Jonathan announced their departure from Nova 100’s Melbourne breakfast show near the end of October 

The star started the day with a 4.10am alarm before taking to the airwaves on last time with co-hosts Sam and Jonathan.

‘Lets do this Melbourne, last show coming!’ she wrote. 

Later she shared a photo of her on-air with early radio host Deano Thomas.

‘Last day of school vibes,’ she joked.

Smiling and wrapping her arms around her colleagues, Chrissie sipped on a soft drink while the others cracked open Crown lager beers at ‘knock off drinks’ 

One sweet picture showed her affectionately kissing colleague Jonathan on the cheek – while others showed producers raising a glass and celebrating together.

She also shared texts from her children, with her daughter Peggy, nine, sending a sweet message of congratulations, shortly followed by a message from her son, 14, asking for an iPhone.

Chrissie will be hosting her own national radio show on the Nova Network next year after stepping down from the Melbourne breakfast slot.

The Chrissie Swan Show will air weekdays from 2pm to 4pm from January 2023.

‘I’ve achieved so much professionally and personally over the past seven years, and I’m thrilled to take on this new opportunity to embrace a new audience right across the country in this brand-new time slot,’ she said during the show’s announcement.

According to an insider, the announcement stunned Nova staff, with all employees at the station receiving an email at 8.30am from Nova Entertainment CEO Peter Charlton with a press release attached.

It comes after Chrissie revealed she’s gone more than 600 days without alcohol.

She took to Instagram to say she was getting a lot of messages about her sobriety.

She also shared texts from her children, with her daughter Peggy, nine, sending a sweet message of congratulations

She also sent a messages from her son, 14, asking for an iPhone

‘Seem to be getting a lot of messages checking on whether I’ve taken up booze again,’ she wrote.

‘I haven’t! 643 days since my last tipple! Thanks for asking!’ she added.
