Il Vecchio Mulino has a name in Tuoro sul Trasimeno, where I live. This pizzeria already exists from the late seventies and it is some years now that the current owners Luciana and Raffaele took over. We regularly eat here but it never occurred to me to dedicate a blog to this restaurant, but now here it is:
It is a large restaurant build in an old corn mill. It is easy to reach and has a very laid back atmosfere. It can be quite busy which means you may need some patience before being served. The pizza’s are ok, but we like the rest of the kitchen better. They serve good meat and fish dishes alike. During summer there is a large terrace that attracks many tourists.
This is not a restaurant with a very refined kitchen, but you eat well and abundant in a friendly atmosfere. If you are in the area it may be a good choice for a typically Italian evening out.
