Corciano in Umbria

Last week we went to have a look at the annual Bread Festival  in Corciano.
Some stands from as far as Germany where one could taste bread and other grain products. They also had a very nice ‘bake-off’ for local bakers.  All bakers got the same flour and had made bread out of it which according to them would suit the flour best. When we passed there we could try a few types and the difference was striking. Not much explanation on the techniques, proofing times and quantities used unfortunately, but still interesting to see, smell and taste.
Furthermore, Corciano is really lovely. Have a look.
